Dr Gëzim Visoka is a Lecturer in Peace and Conflict Studies at Dublin City University (DCU). He holds a PhD in Politics and International Relations from DCU. Dr Visoka’s research focuses on post-conflict peacebuilding, international political sociology, global governance, and foreign policy and diplomatic recognition. His book ‘Peace Figuration after International Intervention: Intentions, Events and Consequences of Liberal Peacebuilding’ will be published by Routledge in 2016. Dr Visoka has published four book chapters and ten articles in peer-reviewed journals, including: International Peacekeeping, Civil Wars, Journal of Intervention and Statebuilding, Journal of Peacebuilding and Development, and East European Politics. Dr Visoka has over ten years’ experience working with civil society and donors in Kosovo, including UN agencies. In 2012, Dr Visoka co-founded Kosovo Institute of Peace and served there as Director of Research.
